Welcome to the first Week of Deco & Bloom’s Farmhouse Favorites!

It’s a pleasure to be here to bring you a weekly curated collection of farmhouse finds for your home.

I’m Jessica, the author of Honey & Hydrangea, a lifestyle and home blog, and this is going to be the highlight of my week as I share my love of shopping and dreaming up beautiful spaces with you.

When I hear the phrase modern farmhouse I think of clean white rooms with over-sized lighting, reclaimed wood, and architectural salvage.

Then I think of food!!!!

A long rustic table filled with locally sourced ingredients.

We have seen it as the trend in weddings and it’s a star of the downtown scene.

Rustic family style meals presented on simple white dishes and set out on a table dressed in casual linens with touches of natural wood, and weathered metals softened by sprigs of greenery and fresh blooms.

It takes you to a place that is casual and welcoming where there is sure to be lots of laughs and good memories made.

Which brings us to today’s theme…..Farm to Table Style.

Enjoy!

Subtly colored glasses add just the right amount of contrast to a neutral tablescape. The copper contributes a warm patina that brings the past to the present. Copper is on trend and has made a big comeback.

Many prefer to serve buffet style on a large island or sideboard.  Make it fun and do it in style with this chicken feeder inspired plate rack.

After pouring over all of these beautiful images,  my weekend plans include a visit to the farmer’s market.  I am going to come home with bundles of organic produce and fresh flowers just in time to serve up a farm to table experience!!
